YouTuber Elvish Yadav Granted Bail in Suspected Drugs Case

A Gautam Buddh Nagar court has granted bail to YouTuber Siddharth Yadav, popularly known as Elvish Yadav, in a suspected drugs case, his lawyers confirmed today. Elvish Yadav was arrested by the Noida Police on Sunday as part of an investigation into the alleged use of snake venoms as recreational drugs at parties he hosted.

Advocate Prashant Rathi, representing Yadav, stated, "The court heard the bail application and granted bail in the case. He will have to furnish two bail bonds of  Rs.50,000 each, which would be submitted in the court."

However, Yadav's release from the Luksar Jail in Greater Noida, where he has been held since March 17, might be delayed, according to advocate Deepak Bhati, another member of Yadav's legal team. Bhati explained, "We have initiated legal proceedings. We would apply for provisional acceptance of the bail bonds so that the release order is issued at the earliest. It may be issued tonight or may take a few days, considering the court will be closed for Holi holidays from tomorrow."

Yadav, aged 26, is a controversial YouTuber who also won the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2. He has been booked under various provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code, according to the police.
