Knight Rider’s KITT - Back with modern look and wide-body

Anyone who grew up in the ’80s and early ’90s will fondly remember Knight Rider featuring David Hasselhoff and his talking Pontiac Trans Am, KITT. And now, thanks to the new with the modern look and widebody, KITT is a bigger stunner now. We can now imagine what the iconic car would look like if it was on our screens today. For the uninitiated, KITT was basically any car-loving kids dream car back in the day, with millions and millions of us tuning in each week to watch Michael Knight and his trusted autonomous Pontiac’s wild adventures, high speed chases and amazing stunts.

According to KITT’s very own Wikipedia page, the fictional vehicle could do 0-60 in just 2 seconds flat with a top speed of over 200mph – not bad for a car which is now nearly 40 years old and not too bad for even the top-performing modern cars of today. If we’re going to start using our imagination, we can imagine that a modernized version would perform even better – but we have to admit, it’s going to be hard to top that 0-60 time.

The modernized KITT features a new wide-body kit, black custom wheels, side exhaust tips as well as front and rear carbon fiber wings and an even more futuristic head-up display.

We personally love this newer version of the classic Knight Rider vehicle and we wonder what the Hoff thinks. Let us know in the comments what old school TV/Film cars you’d like to see reimagined next.
