Prithviraj Sukumaran opens up on Missed Opportunity in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Renowned Malayalam actor, Prithviraj Sukumaran, recently shed light on his missed chance to be part of the grand project, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, led by Megastar Chiranjeevi. Revealing the intriguing tale during the Telugu promotions of his film, The Goat Life, Prithviraj disclosed the behind-the-scenes of his engagement with the epic.
In a candid revelation, Prithviraj recounted how Chiranjeevi himself, through Suhasini Mam, wife of renowned director Mani Rathnam, reached out to him in 2017 or 2018 with an enticing offer to join Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy's cast. Grateful for the opportunity and considering it a significant recognition, Prithviraj expressed his eagerness to take part. However, due to his commitments to his then-upcoming project, The Goat Life, he had to regretfully decline the offer.
Despite conveying his inability to partake in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Prithviraj remained in touch with Chiranjeevi, forming a mutual respect between them. He later ventured into directing and tasted success with his directorial debut, which grabbed the attention of Chiranjeevi, leading to the acquisition of its Telugu rights.
As fate would have it, during the Kerala event of Sye Raa, Prithviraj was invited as the chief guest, further cementing his connection with the project. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi's team approached him again, this time to direct the Telugu version of his successful film, Lucifer. However, Prithviraj found himself entangled in his ongoing commitment to The Goat Life, thus having to decline the offer once more.
Reflecting on the past interactions with Chiranjeevi, Prithviraj humorously acknowledged that while he might have repeated the same reason for declining both opportunities, Chiranjeevi, being the gracious individual he is, didn't hold it against him. Prithviraj expressed his admiration for Chiranjeevi's demeanor, highlighting occasional messages from both Chiranjeevi and his son, Ram Charan, as a testament to their amicable relationship.
In conclusion, Prithviraj expressed optimism about collaborating with Chiranjeevi in the future, showcasing his admiration and respect for the veteran actor. Despite missing out on being part of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and directing Lucifer in Telugu, Prithviraj's bond with Chiranjeevi remains intact, leaving the door open for potential future endeavors between the two talents.
