On June 9th, the pair had a private ceremony in Hyderabad to announce their engagement. Even though many aspects of their wedding have been kept a mystery, it is known that it will be a destination wedding and that it will happen in November. It is also known that Varun Tej is a quiet individual who wants to celebrate the important day in a modest yet elegant way, hence the guest list will only include fifty people. It is also rumored that the couple would have a lavish event for friends in the business, politicians, and other prominent Hyderabadians.

The next movie starring Varun Tej is the bilingual Hindi-Telugu production Operation Valentine, directed by Shakti Pratap Singh. Manushi Chhillar is paired up with Gandhivadhari Arjuna in the movie. She last appeared in the web series Puli Meka, as she did in the case of Lavanya Tripathi. She will have a role in Ravindra Madhava's Tamil film Thanal.
