On February 20, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 were presented at a gala ceremony. The occasion was star-studded, with prominent members of the Indian film industry in attendance. The occasion was glammed up by veteran actors Asha Parekh, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Kiara Advani, and others in exquisite gowns. Ahan Shetty, Satish Kaushik, Rohit Roy, Ranveer Singh's mother Anju Bhavnani, Aayush Sharma, Rannvijay Singha, and Shaheer Sheikh were also present.

The ceremony took place in Mumbai, and the top performances from the previous year were recognised. According to PTI, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 honoured the opulence of Indian cinema while simultaneously commemorating the 75th anniversary of India's independence, known as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Other awards granted to members of the Indian film industry were Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Role, and Best Negative Role, among others.
