Bappi Lahiri Funeral: In Mumbai, the Disco King was laid to rest.

On Thursday, Bappi Lahiri, Bollywood's disco legend, was put to rest at Pawan Hans cremation in Mumbai in the presence of his family and relations. Vidya Balan, Mika Singh, Shakti Kapoor, Rupali Ganguly, Alka Yagnik, and Ila Arun were among the celebrities that attended the music composer's funeral. Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri, returned from the United States early this morning with his family to attend his father's burial.
After suffering from a sleep-related breathing issue, Bappi Lahiri passed away on Tuesday night at 11:45 p.m. in Juhu's CritiCare Hospital. He was 69 years old at the time. On Wednesday afternoon, Kajol, Shaan, Rakesh Roshan, and Poonam Dhillon, among others, paid their condolences at the late composer's home.
Lahiri died of obstructive sleep apnea and recurring chest infection, according to the hospital. "Dr. Deepak Namjoshi was his physician. With this, he spent 29 days at Criticare Hospital in Juhu. On February 15, he was released from the hospital and returned home. After a day at home, his health deteriorated again, and he was sent back to Criticare Hospital Juhu in a serious condition, where he died at 11:45 p.m. For the past year, he's had OSA. He was admitted to Criticare Hospital on several occasions for treatment by Dr. Deepak Namjoshi and was able to recover each time," the statement continued.
After being diagnosed with "minimal COVID symptoms," Lahiri was hospitalised to a Mumbai hospital last year. As a "precautionary measure," the singer was taken to the Breach Candy Hospital.
Bappi Lahiri was a popular singer who appeared in films such as Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, and Sharaabi throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. Bhankas, his most recent Bollywood song, was written for the film Baaghi 3 in 2020.
Bappi Lahiri commanded the music industry for many years, with singles like I Am a Disco Dancer, Raat Baaki, Pag Ghoongroo, Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Naino Main Sapna, TaakiTaaki, Humko Aaj Kal Hain Intezaar, Tamma Tamma, Yaad Aa Raha Hai, Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re, and many more.
Bappi Lahiri last appeared on Bigg Boss 15 to promote his grandson Swastik's new song, Baccha Party. His participation on Bigg Boss was both his first and final. Swastik reflected on his 'dadu' on Instagram. Bappi Da's relationship with Abhijeet Bhattacharya was also discussed.
