Priyanka Chopra reacts to comedienne Rosie O'Donnell's public apology to her

Rosie O'Donnell, an actress and comedian, recently apologised to Priyanka Chopra on TikTok after she detailed an embarrassing experience she had with Priyanka and Nick Jonas in Malibu. Following her public apologies, in which she first referred to Priyanka as "Chopra wife," the actress has now responded to O'Donnell's remarks.

Priyanka Chopra published a letter on her Instagram stories, saying that if someone were to make a public apology for a "awkward intimate meeting," they should at the very least Google their name or try to contact them personally before doing so."We ALL need to be appreciated for our distinct personality, not referred to as "someone" or "wife," Chopra continued.

"The world in which we raise our children will be great if we can learn to respect our diversity in an authentic way," Priyanka continued. The Matrix Resurrections star went on to explain why O'Donnell's assumption that she was author Deepak Chopra's daughter was incorrect, citing an example in which not all Chopras are linked, just as not all Smiths are related to the "legendary" Will Smith.

Priyanka's comment came a day after Rosie O'Donnell revealed the awkward story in a TikTok video and, after receiving backlash, released an apologetic video in which she seemed to disrespect the actress by referring to her as she."Priyanka Chopra is her name," he said afterwards. And all I want to do now is apologise to her and everyone else who thought it was impolite of me.
