Mangaluru: Vikash Kumar has been appointed as the new police commissioner to city while Dr P S Harsha has been transferred.

The transfer was made by the government in a communication dated June 26.

Vikash was earlier serving as deputy inspector general (DIG) and commander, Anti Naxal Force, Karkala. As per the order released by the government of Karnataka, Dr P S Harsha has transferred with immediate effect and will be posted as deputy inspector general (DIG) and commissioner, Information and Public Relation, Bengaluru.
