Bantwal: In a recent incident reported, a team of city cops led by police SI of Vittal station, Vinod K S caught an auto rickshaw which was allegedly transporting 35 KG of beef without any supportive documents. 

The incident was reported at Kolnadu Talithanooji near Vittal on Friday May 1 2020.

It is learnt that the policemen had signalled the vehicle to stop for routine check. When the driver escaped, the cops got suspicious and checked the vehicle to find illegal slaughtering of cow.

The police have confiscated the beef as well as the auto rickshaw. A case stands registered in Vittal police station. Investigation is on.
