Mangaluru: It is learnt that SSLC students from Thota Bengre rely on trawl boats to travel to Bunder from Thota Bengre to appear for their examination. 

Although they have facility to use road, they prefer travelling by boat as it consumes less time permitting students to reach examination centre on time. 

Once they reach Bunder area, they use auto rickshaws to go to their examination centres.

Over 15 SSLC students from Thotabengre travel by boat in this way. Thota Bengre is an isle formed at the confluence of river and sea.
