Mangaluru: A recent incident was reported on Friday April 17 where the excise officials have raided an illicit brewery. The incident took place near Innoli within the limits of Konaje police station.

The raid was conducted jointly on the bank of River Netravati at Innoli village by excise inspectors, sub-inspectors and staff and officials of the district team under the guidance of excise joint commissioner Shylaja Kote and excise superintendent Vinod Kumar. 

According to sources, the excise officials have found 400 litres of fermented juice which was stored in two barrels by the river side at Sajila. 

A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
