Kerala Family under legal trouble for illegal moving to Talapady

Mangaluru: It is learnt that a case has been registered against the family from Kerala for crossing illegally by a boat to reach Talapady and cross to Addur.

Speaking to the media, police official stated that on april 9th, a person by name, Yakoob (48) crossed over to Talapady along with his family from Kerala. It is made out that he had used sea/water route to cross over in a boat to Talapady. It is alleged that one person by name Shakir had aided his transit and provided all logistical support for him to land at Talapady and cross over to Addur.

“Yakoob has violated all norms issued by the central and state governments to curtail the spread of pandemic. He has blatantly put himself, his family members and the general public at risk, which attracts penal provisions under various sections of law. Hence in this connection a case has been registered at Bajpe police station against Yakoob and six others. The investigation is under progress.

“Keeping in view of seriousness of the situation all accused in this case have been sent for medical check up to Wenlock hospital in coordination with district health officials. The quarantine status of the below mentioned individuals will be monitored by liaison with the district health officers,” the release stated.
