Mangaluru: According to sources, the city government have now targetted the famous Dhakke in the city as a precautionary measure to prevent people gathering at large. They have now put ban on deep sea fishing as all the boats have now returned back to the Old Port in Mangaluru. 

In addition to that, the Fisheries Department in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada Districts have also stopped supply of subsidised diesel to fishing boats.

However the fishing boats that had already ventured into the sea for fishing were permitted to return with the fish catch till Tuesday.
