Shivamogga : The state government has announced compensation of Rs 25 lac to the family of Harsha, a Bajrang Dal worker who was killed on February 20. 
 
The Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj K.S. Eshwarappa said on Thursday, March 3, Prime Minister Basabarazi Bonmai had called him about his decision.

Eshwarappa, along with former Prime Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, said he would visit Harsha's house on March 6 and give compensation to his family. 

Hindu activists in Karnataka have launched a campaign on social media to demand tickets from the ruling BJP for one member of Harsha's family to vote in the general election. Pramod Muthalik, the founder of Srirama Sena, issued a strong statement that the Hindutva activists who help the BJP party take power should not be hunted down. 

The campaign is getting stronger day by day, and the ruling BJP is angry about the order of the events.  Hindu activists have criticized the ruling BJP government for doing little for grassroots workers who enjoy political interests and are fighting and dying for the principles of Hindutva. .. The minister  said  he was willing to give  his members to Harsha's family  if the party decided to do so.
