Tamilnadu rain kills 4, schools remain shut for 14 districts

Tamilnadu : As many as four people were killed and over 1,400 moved to relief camps as heavy rain continued to batter parts of Tamil Nadu on Monday. CM MK Stalin inspected rain-affected areas on Tuesday and also distributed flood relief assistance to people in Chennai's Royapuram. Meanwhile, the IMD said a cyclonic circulation over the south-east Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Andaman Sea could lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the next 24 hours, which could bring widespread rainfall in parts of the state.
