In a horrific incident that took place in Palghar, three people, travelling from Nashik to Surat to attend the funeral of a common acquaintance, All the three which included two Hindu seers were lynched late on Thursday night in the Jawahar area of Palghar on the suspicion of being thieves. The mob stopped their vehicle confronting and accusing them of stealing children and harvesting their organs as there has been news of child abduction in the area. The 3 victims pleaded the mob for mercy but the mob abused them and then assaulted them brutally with sticks, rods and stones until they were left lifeless.

When the police team reached the spot and took them to their van, the crowds attacked the police van and continued to assault them till they succumbed. 

The victims were later identified as Sushilgiri Maharaj, 30, Chikne Maharaj Kalpavriksha Giri, 70 and their driver Nilesh Telwade, 30. 

The video of this incident has gone viral where it shows a scared sadhu accompanied by a policeman who is beaten to death. India being a democratic country, the country that gave rights of fair trail to a terrorist as Ajmal Kasab and now this.

Certain sections of the media are trying to downplay the incident and reporting that the two of the three victims are not Hindu sadhus and are trying to give it a political angle. Many so-called media outlets and digital media prints are either quite or are reporting that the BJP wants to make this incident communal, instead of condemning everyone who was a part of the brutal killing.
