Mumbai migrant crisis a cry for help by migrant workers or a conspiracy?

Mumbai: A shocking incident was reported from Bandra, Mumbai yesterday April 14 2020 where more than 1000 migrant workers gathered outside the station demanding the transportation arrangements to go back to their hometowns, hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of the ongoing nationwide lockdown till May.

However the whole incident was later found to be under suspicion as many questionable aspects were brought into light.

According to sources, the crowd gathered there were not found with their families nor carried any luggages if their sole intention was to catch the train and go to their respective home. It was a questionable incident as people who want to travel usually carry their things in a bag or luggage. However no such things were found in the possession of the protestors which has raised questions behind the intention of the protest.

It is also learnt that the people who had come to protest were carrying sticks in their hand. A sudden surge of people at the Bandra station let to police resorting to lati charge to have the crowd dispersed. There was zero social distancing maintained as per eye witness reports.

Also NCP leader Vinay Dubey who had earlier detained for threatening to launch an agitation on April 18 has been arrested for spreading hate message to migrants asking them to gather in large and create violence.

Vinay Dubey has allegedly spread misinformation in a 8-minute long Facebook live and appealed to migrant labourers to come in large numbers at the railway station to protest against lack of food arrangements.

He is now booked under Sections 117, 153 A, 188, 269, 270 and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 3 of The Epidemic Diseases Act. He will be produced before a local court later today.

CM Uddhav Thakerey in his press release asked and requested all the migrants to return back to their interim houses and assured that they were safe in Maharashtra and appropriate arrangements will be made for their travel once the lockdown is relaxed.
