In a puzzling turn of events, the suspect behind the recent Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru skillfully evaded authorities by changing clothes and appearances multiple times before and after the explosion, according to investigation officials who meticulously analyzed CCTV footage.

In a series of three revealing CCTV videos, the suspect's calculated efforts to alter his identity came to light. The first video captured him heading to the cafe at approximately 11:45 am on March 1, donned in a full-sleeve shirt, a light-colored polo cap, eyeglasses, and a face mask as he strategically placed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Subsequently, he boarded a bus.

A subsequent video depicted the suspect on another bus around 2:30 pm, wearing a purple half-sleeve T-shirt and a black cap. Although still wearing a mask, he had discarded the glasses. By the time the third CCTV footage from Bellary Central Bus Stand was recorded at around 9 pm, the suspect had abandoned both cap and glasses, showcasing a consistent effort to change his appearance systematically.

Officials examining the CCTV records surrounding the blast noted the suspect's calm demeanor, contradicting the urgency typically associated with such incidents. The deliberate and methodical alterations to his appearance strongly suggest premeditation in orchestrating the explosion.

Despite the identification of the suspect through the CCTV footage, law enforcement has been unable to trace him even eight days after the blast. In response, multiple probe teams have been mobilized, engaging in an extensive search operation to locate and apprehend the elusive individual.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), now overseeing the case, has issued a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to the suspect's arrest, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

Meanwhile, in a symbolic move towards resilience, the Brookfield outlet of The Rameshwaram Cafe, where the low-intensity explosion resulted in injuries to 10 individuals, reopened on Friday. The reopening ceremony was marked by heightened security measures and significant fanfare, emphasizing the community's determination to prevail despite the unsettling incident.
