Assembly Election 2022 : The BJP leads in four states, AAP wins in Punjab.

New Delhi: The BJP has emerged as the dominant force in four states, including the politically vital Uttar Pradesh, in the mega-elections seen as a warm-up for the national election in 2024. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also won gold in Punjab, becoming the party's second state after Delhi. The BJP has gained a majority in Uttarakhand and leads in 19 of Goa's 40 seats.

With about 90 of the state's 117 seats, the AAP is on track for a landslide in Punjab. "The people of Punjab have accomplished something extraordinary. This is a massive revolution. So many great leaders have fallen... Amarinder Singh has fallen, Sukhbir Badal has fallen, Parkash Singh Badal has fallen, Charanjit Channi has fallen, Navjot Sidhu has fallen, Bikram Singh Majithia has fallen... this is nothing short of a massive, massive revolution "said by Arvind Kejriwal.

According to the most recent polls, the BJP has surpassed the 270-vote threshold in Uttar Pradesh. The party has a clear lead over the Samajwadi Party, with Yogi Adityanath certain to serve a second consecutive term as Chief Minister. In the 403-member legislative assembly, 202 votes are required for a majority.

The BJP has expanded its advantage in Uttarakhand, with the Congress trailing in the mountainous state, according to election trends. According to the trends at 1 p.m., the BJP leads in 42 seats and the Congress leads in 25 in the Uttarakhand assembly elections.
