In the space of two days, a Second Indian died in Ukraine

Chandan Jindal (22), a medical student from Ukraine, was brought to Vinnytsia's Emergency Hospital after suffering an Ischemic stroke. He had taken his final breath earlier in the day.

On Wednesday, an Indian student from Barnala in Punjab perished in Ukraine, where a battle is raging following the Russian military's invasion.

Chandan Jindal attended the Vinnytsia National Pyrogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

Jindal was admitted to Emergency Hospital Vinnytsia (Kyivska street 68) after suffering an Ischemic stroke, according to published sources. He had taken his final breath earlier in the day.

His father has written to the Indian government to arrange for the return of his body.

The Centre is also attempting to recover the body of a Karnataka student who was killed in shelling in Kharkiv a day ago.

Because Ukraine's airspace is closed to passenger flights, bodies may be transported through neighbouring nations, as has been the case with trapped Indians.
