Paramilitary Force Pays Tributes To Soldiers Killed In Pulwama Attack

Lethpora (J-K): The CRPF paid floral tributes on Monday to 40 of its personnel killed in the heinous Pulwama terror attack three years ago on this day.
DS Chaudhary, Additional Director General (ADG), CRPF, led the officers and jawans of the paramilitary force in paying their respects at the martyr's memorial here, about 25 kilometres from Srinagar.

ADG Chaudhary and other CRPF personnel laid floral wreaths at the memorial, honouring the sacrifices of the 40 personnel killed when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.

Every year on this day, we gather here to remember the 40 brave jawans who died in Pulwama (attack). "From the bottom of our hearts, we remember their sacrifice and pay tribute to them," Chaudhary told reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony.

According to the CRPF officer, the force's goal is to keep the valley peaceful and not let their personnel's sacrifices go unnoticed.

A CRPF jawan recalled his colleagues and stated that the attack and the deaths of 40 personnel had not affected the force's morale.

If the enemy believes it can break our morale, it is mistaken. My country's citizens should not be concerned. "We are always prepared to protect them," said Constable Arup Debnath.

SNS Munda, another CRPF jawan, stated that while they miss their colleagues, they will never forget their sacrifices.

"This (tribute) is a message that we haven't forgotten them, that we remember those who gave their lives for all of us," he explained.
