Check out the Symptoms of Omicron

With the increase in covid-19 cases, Omicron variant has made its own space. People all over the world are still confused with the first signs or symptoms related to these viruses.
Most PCR and rapid antigen tests can detect omicron — the Food and Drug Administration has noted there are only a few tests that don’t — but results do not indicate to the user which variant they are infected with, leaving people to guess.
Some symptom differences have emerged from preliminary data, but experts are not certain they are meaningful. Data released last week from South Africa’s largest private health insurer, for instance, suggest that South Africans with omicron often develop a scratchy or sore throat along with nasal congestion, a dry cough and muscle pain, especially low back pain.
Symptoms
The symptoms of infection include weakness, tiredness, headache, low grade fever and pain in the throat.
Transmissibility
Whether or not Omicron is more transmissible compared to other variants, including Delta, is yet to be known.
WHO Recommended actions to stop the spread
The most effective steps individuals can take to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus is:
1. Keep physical distance of at least 1 metre from others
2. Wear a mask
3. Open windows to improve ventilation
4. Avoid poorly ventilated or crowded spaces
5. Keep hands clean
6. Get vaccinated
