YouTuber Turned ‘Spy’? Jyoti Picks Fame Over Nation

In a baffling display of misplaced priorities and zero national loyalty, Jyoti Malhotra, a Haryana-based travel vlogger, has redefined the phrase “career suicide” by allegedly moonlighting as a spy for Pakistan’s ISI — all while uploading scenic reels to her YouTube channel Travel with JO. With over 400,000 subscribers, you'd think she'd have enough content to keep her busy — but apparently, betraying her country seemed more exciting.

“No regrets,” she says. Seriously.
Facing charges under the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), one might expect a sliver of remorse. But no — Jyoti told police she has “no regrets” like she just returned an Amazon order, not handed over blackout-sensitive intel to enemy agents.

Investigators are stunned. “Jyoti feels she did not commit any mistake,” an official said. Of course, why would she? When you’re chatting with foreign handlers during a national security blackout, it's clearly just a new kind of influencer collab, right?

Spy ring or social network?
Turns out, Jyoti wasn’t just vlogging hill stations — she was actively communicating with not one, not two, but three Pakistani intelligence officers. All while mobile networks were suspended due to security threats. That’s dedication — or delusion.

"Travel with JO"... straight into espionage.
Her trip to Pahalgam, Kashmir, now has more red flags than a cricket match in Lahore. Authorities are looking into whether she picked up more than just souvenir snow globes during her stay — possibly data for her handlers across the border.

The ISI starter pack: YouTube channel and visa forms
Her downward spiral reportedly began when she met Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani “diplomat” at the High Commission in Delhi while applying for a visa in 2023. Because of course — nothing screams innocent tourism like befriending a foreign agent and then getting introduced to more of them.

Danish, the ISI’s recruiter-in-chief, has since been sent packing back to Pakistan. Jyoti, meanwhile, was arrested in Hisar, where she apparently thought no one would notice a national betrayal hiding behind clickbait thumbnails.

Now in five-day police remand, she’s being grilled by a team from the NIA, IB, and Haryana Police, who are surely wondering how a YouTuber mistook treason for trending content.

Moral of the story?

Stick to vlogging sunsets, not state secrets.

And maybe, just maybe — have some regrets.
