What to expect from today's Budget discussion in Parliament — ten key points

The Budget session in Parliament will resume today, March 14, with numerous items on the federal government's agenda. The session will begin today with the second section of the budget, and the opposition is expected to be prepared as well.

The Jammu and Kashmir budget will be revealed today, according to the agenda announced by the national government ahead of the sitting, and numerous proposals have also been tabled for discussion during this session.

Here are some key aspects to consider regarding the budget –

During today's budget session, the Centre will focus on obtaining Parliamentary approval for budgetary recommendations and presenting the budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the Lok Sabha's post-lunch session, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will propose the budget for Jammu and Kashmir.
Aside from the Jammu and Kashmir budget, the Centre intends to debate and pass the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha today.
Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda will introduce the ST amendment bill, which seeks to add specific groups and clans to Tripura's Scheduled Tribes list.
The government has set the agenda for today's budget session, but the opposition has prepared a list of questions as well. During the session, the opposition is anticipated to emphasise the subject of unemployment and inflation.
Aside from economic concerns, the Opposition is anticipated to address the subject of the evacuation of Indian nationals from war-torn Ukraine, as well as the decline in the Employees Provident Fund Organization's interest rates.
Instead of conducting separate shifts for both houses as was done during the first session of the Union Budget 2022, both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha will hold simultaneous sittings beginning at 11 a.m. on March 14.
The first session of the Union Budget 2022 was held from January 29 to February 11, beginning with President Ram Nath Kovind's address to a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha in the Central Hall, followed by the presentation of the Economic Survey.
On February 1, FM Nirmala Sitharaman discussed the Union Budget, which was followed by talks on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address.
Following the first session of the Union Budget, many people hope that the second session will offer some benefits to the ordinary man.
