New Delhi: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that the saint was dedicated to uniting society by providing equal rights and justice to all.
Mr Shah stated on Twitter, "Sant Ravidas ji dedicated his life to uniting society by granting equal rights and justice to all people. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the revered saint Shri Ravidas ji, a symbol of harmony and harmony, I bow at his feet."

"With his thoughts and creations, he showed the way to the welfare of mankind by awakening spiritual consciousness in society. His message of unity, equality, and the primacy of karma will always guide us "In a tweet, a senior BJP leader stated. 

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the Home Minister also stated that the Centre is constantly working to raise the standard of living by making every section a partner in development.

Today, PM Modi will also pay a visit to the Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham temple in Delhi's Karol Bagh.

Sant Ravidas was a member of the bhakti movement in the 15th and 16th centuries, and his hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib. He is regarded as the founder of the Ravidassia religion of the twenty-first century.

Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated on Magh Purnima, which is the full moon day of the Magh month as per the Hindu calendar.
